This image was published in issue No. 06, “Cold Feet,” of Beacon Quarterly. The title of each issue is a different idiom and within the issue we explore different ways to interpret that idiom as well as idioms that relate, as “crow’s feet” does with “cold feet” (relating in the body part they reference). Our prompt was to illustrate or re-interpret a different idiom relating to feet, I chose “crow’s feet” and took the literal route because I think that there is something unsettling and humorous in a pair of crow’s feet standing on their own in blank space.
